The foundation pursues the following purposes: Humanitarian and medical aid: Financial support to non-profit organizations and projects that provide humanitarian and/or medical aid to the population in need, to victims of disasters of all kinds and to people with disabilities, regardless of nationality, faith, religion or political conviction. Support for educational activities: Promotion and financing of programs and further support for needy families, students, trainees and teachers in Switzerland and abroad for education in schools and other educational institutions, financing the construction of school facilities and equipment, financing the purchase of school materials, IT equipment, digital tools and the like. Support for housing: Promotion and financial support for safe emergency shelters for needy individuals and families, provision of medical care and food as well as support for supplementary services related to housing in Switzerland and abroad. Animal welfare: Promotion and financial support for the prevention of animal cruelty or the prevention or alleviation of animal suffering in Switzerland and abroad. The activities include the rescue, rehabilitation or accommodation of animals, veterinary treatment, the operation of shelters for abandoned, abused or injured animals, and all other activities that alleviate animal suffering or promote their well-being. These purposes may be pursued alternatively or cumulatively. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose. The foundation is authorized to establish further foundations in Switzerland within the scope of its purpose and to pursue joint projects with domestic and foreign institutions. It is also authorized to establish other domestic and foreign entities and to acquire and hold participations in other domestic and foreign entities.
