1. The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) and its implementing provisions for employees and employers, as well as their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. 2. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum requirements. Furthermore, it may provide support benefits to cover necessary living expenses in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. 3. For the inclusion of employers, Articles 4 and 44(1) of the BVG are applicable. 4. The foundation's purpose is achieved by employers who wish to join the foundation doing so for themselves and their employees. The affiliation is based on a written contract. 5. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts with insurance companies designated by the foundation board and subject to federal supervision for all or individual risks, or enter into existing contracts, whereby it must be the policyholder and beneficiary.
