The Organization pursues the aim of civil, social, and cultural solidarity and operates without profit. The Organization intends to provide moral and material support to citizens in protecting the safety and serenity of daily life and to increase solidarity, civic and democratic sense, and tolerance in society. The Association therefore intends to promote social assistance and solidarity activities for people in situations of social and/or economic distress. These purposes are realized, by way of example and not exhaustively, in the following forms: 1. Assistance to the poor, the marginalized, foreigners, drug addicts, the maladjusted, and the needy in general; 2. Accompaniment and assistance service in city traffic for elderly people with walking difficulties; 3. Prevention and contrast of petty crime through presence and participation in community life as well as raising citizens' and institutions' awareness of civil coexistence and respect for others; 4. Activities to counter intolerance and discrimination in all its forms, with particular reference to racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual discrimination; 5. Organization and implementation of training and guidance courses for social outcasts and for all categories that have difficulty integrating into social and economic life; 6. Promotion and activation of reception centers, shelters, refuges, and outpatient or medical facilities for assisting the weakest categories, with particular reference to the marginalized and women; 7. Promotion of family solidarity initiatives aimed at raising awareness and training for the service of families, in relation to their social and educational tasks; 8. Organization and activation of social association experiences, aimed at promoting mutual aid in domestic work and family care, even through the organization of time banks; 9. Assistance to citizens, for example, in railway stations, metro stations, airports, etc., for handling luggage loading and unloading operations, or for the escort service; 10. Courtesy, assistance, and solidarity service at public events; 11. Assistance and rescue activities for abandoned, injured, or otherwise distressed animals, and raising awareness of animal rights; 12. Cleaning of public meeting places (gardens, parks, etc.), even through occasional, albeit differentiated, collection of paper, waste, organization of recycling material collection, raising awareness of energy saving and protection of the urban and rural environment. The Organization also intends to promote cultural activities such as the organization of conferences, meetings, events, publications, radio and television programs, even advertising, creation of websites on the Internet, etc. By way of example and not exhaustively or restrictively, the Association may carry out the following activities: 1. Cultural activities: round tables, conferences, lectures, congresses, debates, exhibitions, seminars, inquiries, establishment of libraries, film and documentary screenings; 2. Association activities: meetings, events among members on the occasion of holidays, anniversaries or other events; 3. Training activities: training courses for raising citizens' awareness of feelings of social solidarity, democracy, and tolerance; 4. Editorial activities: publication of leaflets, periodicals, books, conference proceedings, etc.; 5. Activities in the ecological field for raising public awareness of the protection of the urban and rural environment. The Organization may therefore carry out voluntary activities either through its own structures or in the forms and ways provided by law, within public structures or those with which it is affiliated. Despite the absence of any profit-making purpose, the organization may carry out marginal and occasional productive (including services) and commercial activities in respect of the activity indicated above for the achievement of solidaristic purposes. The Association may also carry out any marginal commercial or productive activity in respect of the activity indicated above. In order to carry out its activities, the Organization relies decisively and prevalently on the personal, voluntary, direct, and unpaid contributions of its members. The contributions provided by the members are free of charge and cannot be remunerated even by the beneficiary. The Association avails itself of every useful tool to achieve its social purposes and in particular of the collaboration with local authorities, even through the stipulation of specific agreements, pursuant to Article 7 of Law 266/1991.
