The association aims to promote, directly and indirectly, ecologically and socially sustainable corporate management and the assumption of social responsibility by companies. To this end, a national set of rules (so-called Swiss Code of Sustainability Reporting, SCSR) is being created with scientifically recognized partners, based on international standards and taking into account legal requirements. Swiss companies (small, medium and large) can voluntarily submit to this set of rules in order to qualify as sustainable on the one hand and to comply with the legal requirements for sustainability reporting in Switzerland on the other. The set of rules is intended to enable companies to create a practical, reasonably feasible and meaningful sustainability report. Furthermore, the association aims to promote the presence of the topic in newspapers, TV and social media. The association informs about this and raises awareness of the social benefits. This is intended to stimulate and promote legislative activities. To achieve its purpose, the association works with suitable domestic and foreign companies, economic associations, organizations and universities (so-called partners). For this purpose, it can operate a suitable infrastructure (e.g. website, database, premises, etc.). The association can distribute information sheets and similar documents to its members and interested third parties. The association is politically independent and does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes. The organs are working on a voluntary basis. Assets and any surplus income are used exclusively in the interest of the association's purpose.
