Basler Förderverein für Medizinische Zusammenarbeit

The association aims to network professionals from the medical and technical fields based in Switzerland with colleagues in partner hospitals or other organizations in countries with limited resources. This networking is primarily intended to be achieved through technical and material support and cooperation with partner hospitals and organizations. It is also established with the intention of informing local colleagues and the public about the needs and shortcomings in partner hospitals and partner organizations. This is intended to motivate interested parties to participate in the association and provide sustainable support to project partners. In addition to medical cooperation, bridge-building in non-medical areas is also to be promoted. The association supports projects in the fields of health, social affairs and education, primarily in Eastern Europe and Africa. Where possible, synergies with other aid organizations should be utilized.
