The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and shared responsibility. It strives to offer housing to its members, particularly families, and promotes a sense of community and mutual solidarity. To achieve this goal, the cooperative (a) acquires building land and construction rights; (b) builds and purchases single-family and multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs; (c) maintains and periodically renovates existing buildings; (d) constructs replacement buildings when existing ones can no longer be renovated in a economically viable manner; (e) utilizes funding instruments according to federal, cantonal, and communal housing promotion laws; and (f) manages and rents apartments based on cost-rental principles. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by the pursuit of profit. The cooperative may participate in companies and organizations with similar or identical objectives.
