BGF - Bewässerungsgenossenschaft Furttal

The purpose of the cooperative is to establish and operate an irrigation network, including associated facilities such as pumping stations, storage basins, etc., in order to irrigate agricultural (and similar) areas, as well as to manage the concessions granted by the AWEL (Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air of the Canton of Zurich) in the Furttal for irrigation. In principle, all interests for water abstraction for irrigation are to be taken into account. Rejections of applications for water abstraction or membership are submitted to the ALN (Office for Landscape and Nature of the Canton of Zurich) for comment. The supply of water is based on the following principles: 1. In accordance with the irrigation and associated fee regulations on the supply of water, contributions and fees. 2. The cooperative operates the business on a non-profit basis and does not pursue profit-oriented goals.
