DANNEMANN Foundation

The foundation aims to support and promote individuals, institutions, and projects in developing countries and (if necessary) in Switzerland, which are engaged in charitable, humanitarian, health-promoting, educational, scientific, or cultural activities for the public good. These projects should have a medium- to long-term character and primarily promote the reconstruction of society, environmentally friendly development, and the ability to self-help and independence, for example through the establishment of schools and hospitals, training, and the development of family businesses. A particular focus should be placed on projects in developing countries where the current and future members of the group of founders are active. To these ends, the foundation can provide financial support, organize events, or take other measures in the sense of the foundation's purpose, award grants and scholarships, and set up prizes to recognize achievements in the sense of the foundation's purpose. The purpose of the foundation is limited to promoting public and general interests in the sense of the applicable regulations and practices of the Swiss tax authorities and courts for public and charitable purposes. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral and is not state-run. The foundation does not pursue commercial or self-help purposes and does not strive for profit. To fulfill this purpose, the foundation can also support other foundations and organizations whose purpose is at least partially in line with the purpose of this foundation, and/or entrust them with the fulfillment of their tasks, as well as create such foundations and organizations. Donations to relatives or closely related natural or legal persons of the founder or members of the foundation board are excluded. This does not include donations to other charitable and/or publicly active foundations established by the same founder and/or closely related natural and/or legal persons or by members of the foundation board and/or closely related natural and/or legal persons, provided that their purpose is at least partially in line with the purpose of this foundation. The founder reserves the right to change the purpose of the foundation, as long as Art. 86a of the Swiss Civil Code permits it. The changed purpose must remain charitable in any case and must not lead to the benefit of relatives or closely related persons of the founder or members of the foundation board.
