The purpose of the association is to hold church services, including communion, gospel preaching, Bible reading, and lectures on the Word of God, as well as other Christian-religious gatherings for the members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (hereinafter referred to as Brethren), who preserve and practice the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and his apostles as contained in the Holy Scriptures and as proclaimed by his servants, the servants of the Lord in the restoration, namely J. N. Darby, F. E. Raven, J. Taylor Sr., J. Taylor Jr., J. H. Symington, J. S. Hales, and B. D. Hales, and who are in communion with B. D. Hales (as long as he lives) and, after the death of B. D. Hales, with any other person recognized by the Brethren worldwide as the successor of the Lord in the restoration. To fulfill its purpose, the association may acquire and sell properties to provide meeting rooms, grant and receive loans, and conduct any legal transaction that serves the purpose of the association directly or indirectly.
