The FIVT was created to: a) promote Table Volleyball, serve as the global governing body and codify its rules; b) promote the following values: integrity, passion, inclusion and ambition; health and sports education; sportsmanship and fair play; support anti-doping measures, in particular by complying with the WADA Code; support best practices, integrity and development of the sport; equality, regardless of race, skin color, sex, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, language, religion, politics, family situation, abilities or disability; good governance, transparency and democracy; the ideals of the Olympic movement; social, economic and personal development through sport; peace through common sports interests and activities, and cooperation; c) organize its own competitions; d) develop regulations and provisions governing Table Volleyball and related matters, and ensure their enforcement; e) protect the goodwill and intellectual property of Table Volleyball; f) exercise the functions provided for by law as follows: be responsible for international relations, including with the IOC and other relevant international organizations, such as ASOIF or AIMS, support the participation of athletes in international sports events, provide services to their members and athletes, including dispute resolution and education, hold the rights to the competitions they organize or grant to third parties, including the rights to announce, organize and stage international sports competitions, broadcast, record and commercially exploit them through television, radio or any other electronic and digital technology, as well as commercially exploit the advertising and marketing rights related to these competitions.
