The Federation has the following objectives: To strengthen the professional and collegiate ties between Intellectual Property Attorneys in different countries and to promote and simplify their professional relationships; To secure the reputation and dignity of the profession of Intellectual Property Attorneys at an international level, if necessary in collaboration with member groups; To collect all professionally interesting information in the various countries and distribute it for the use of its members; To jointly examine all administrative or legislative reforms as well as all improvements to international treaties and agreements in order to facilitate the protection of the rights of inventors and/or entrepreneurs, increase their security and simplify procedures or formalities; To approach international authorities with the intention of pursuing the implementation of the aforementioned reforms and improvements; To study existing laws, regulations, implementing regulations and agreements in the field of industrial property protection and take a position on them, and to approach legal and administrative proceedings with the intention of facilitating the exercise of the rights of inventors and/or entrepreneurs, increasing their security and simplifying procedures or formalities. To establish and maintain trusting and close relationships with official or private international organizations that exist in the field of industrial property protection or are responsible for dealing with such issues; To promote the training and further education of its members and all persons interested in the protection of intellectual property, through the organization of local and regional ad hoc programs.
