The fib-CH group thus takes up the purpose of fib at the national level, namely: (1) To develop the study of scientific and practical subjects that promote the technical, economic, aesthetic, and environmental aspects of concrete construction. (2) These objectives will be achieved by: (a) stimulating research and synthesizing the results with the lessons learned from practice in the field of concrete structures; (b) promoting development activities to apply research results and experience and translate them into state-of-the-art rules for design and construction; (c) disseminating research and development results, as well as experience, through publications and the organization of congresses and workshops; (d) publishing recommendations for the design and construction of concrete structures based on relevant and appropriate execution criteria and environmental considerations; (e) informing members about the latest developments in the field of concrete through relevant publications. (3) These objectives can be achieved in conjunction with existing international technical associations, as well as international and regional standardization organizations. fib-CH is a non-profit organization.
