The business activity of a Spitex includes the outpatient care and support of people who require assistance due to illness, age or disability, but do not need to stay in hospital. This includes care services such as assistance with personal hygiene, medical care, wound treatment and medication administration, as well as support with daily tasks such as shopping, cooking and household management. Spitex services also offer counseling and information for clients and relatives, and support the organization of further health and social services. The goal is to promote the independence of those affected and maintain their quality of life in their familiar environment.
