to financially support the activities of the Hospital Service of the Order of Malta in Switzerland (SHOMS) in the Canton of Fribourg and beyond, whose purpose is to provide assistance to the sick, the disabled, pilgrims, the elderly, the disabled, victims of natural disasters and victims of armed conflicts in need, based on the centuries-old tradition of the Sovereign Order of Malta, in accordance with Articles 2, paragraphs 1-2 and 9, paragraph 3 of the Constitutional Charter and Article 266 of the Code of this Order, as well as the principles contained in the Rule of the Order of St. John, of the Bailiwick of Brandenburg. In the course of its activities, SHOMS may collaborate with Swiss, foreign and international charitable and humanitarian organizations; it makes itself available to the Civil Protection in the event of disasters and collaborates, to the extent possible, in the relief actions in favor of victims of disasters decided by the Committee of Relief Organizations of the Sovereign Order of Malta, in Rome. In all cases, the foundation does not pursue any profit-making or commercial purpose.
