To promote innovative cellular therapies by establishing stem cell banks of varied origin and producing therapeutic preparations derived from these cells, and to file, manage and exploit patents related to these therapies; to operate and promote the creation of specialized facilities and procedures for the implementation of innovative cellular therapies in collaboration with Swiss university hospitals; to establish and coordinate implementation programs for innovative cellular therapies for SICT members and their associated partners; to bring together in the SICT all clinical teams and research groups from Swiss universities that are innovative in cellular therapies and associate their private partners; to define a legal and ethical framework in accordance with Swiss legislation and European directives governing all aspects of innovative cellular therapies and establish a code of conduct (Swiss-ICT label) for its members and associated partners; to train specialists in innovative cellular therapies at all levels, publish and undertake or participate in teaching (cf. founding act for complete purpose).
