The Foundation works in the canton of Geneva for a safer, fairer, and more sustainable world by focusing on preserving and strengthening the position of International Geneva as a leading hub for international cooperation. To achieve this goal, the Foundation supports the actors of International Geneva in their adaptation to an evolving global context. The priority beneficiaries of its actions are international organizations headquartered or with a representative office in the canton of Geneva and benefiting from an agreement with the Confederation under the Host State Act (HSA), as well as non-governmental organizations recognized by the International Geneva Welcome Centre (CAGI). The Foundation's activities are carried out in respect of the Confederation's prerogatives in matters of foreign policy and the application of the Host State Act (HSA). In this capacity, the FDFA has a right of consultation regarding projects funded by the Foundation. The Foundation's activities are complementary to those of other actors supporting International Geneva, whether public or private. The Foundation does not pursue any profit-making purpose.
