The foundation pursues the following purposes: 1) to promote knowledge and works related to the Orsini and Bernheim families; 2) to collaborate with Vatican institutions to support Orsinian days; 3) to support the Fondation Les amis de Pierre-Antoine Bernheim, currently based in Paris; 4) to support scientific research and dissemination related to the history, texts, and other works concerning the Orsini and Bernheim families; 5) to support museums, particularly in Western countries and Israel; 6) to support cultural events in their various aspects, such as concerts, exhibitions, and events deemed useful by the Foundation Council; 7) to create an art collection, particularly paintings, to be exhibited in museums and similar institutions; 8) to award scholarships related to research, teaching, and dissemination of knowledge that fall within the Foundation's purpose. The Foundation may develop initiatives and carry out any activity useful for achieving its purposes in the manner and with the tools deemed suitable for achieving its goals. The Foundation pursues public utility objectives and therefore has no profit motive. The recipients of contributions must in principle be non-profit organizations and, as such, benefit from tax exemption. However, contributions to particularly deserving individuals in relation to activities and/or projects that fall within the Foundation's purpose are allowed, subject to obtaining the approval of the competent tax authority (to safeguard the Foundation's public utility status). The Foundation may establish entities and companies within the limits of its statutory purpose. It may also engage in commercial activities, grant mandates, and hire employees on a paid basis to achieve its goals.
