The foundation excludes any profit-making purpose. Its purpose is to enable the members of the Congregation "Figlie di S. Maria della Provvidenza in Roma" to perfect themselves through works of charity and Christian piety in favour of the poor in need of care and assistance, residing or domiciled in the Canton of Ticino, without excluding others if circumstances permit, without distinction of religion, nationality, age or sex. In particular, through the accommodation and assistance of chronically ill, disabled and needy people, the opening up of new forms of assistance and care according to need and development, always in favour of the poor, and this in accordance with the charitable spirit of the Founder of the Congregation of the Daughters of Santa Maria della Provvidenza.
