to ensure the development and protection of the forest heritage of the canton of Geneva in accordance with sustainable development; to represent, develop and defend the interests of forest owners in the canton of Geneva and members of the association; to this end, to promote sustainable and multifunctional forest management, to encourage a viable and employment-generating regional forestry economy, to encourage and develop the exploitation and marketing of forest products, to participate in the promotion of wood in collaboration with private and public actors involved in this task, and to contribute to a general awareness of forest-related issues among the public (cf. statutes for full purpose).
