a) to provide support that promotes local management of available resources within small communities (village-based, grassroots groups, disadvantaged or marginalized groups...) by integrating water, progress in health and development in its general aspect; b) to promote a better understanding of environmental, health and development issues for the management of natural resources through education and training programs; c) to support the establishment of small-scale infrastructure and equipment to facilitate access to clean water and the use of natural resources; d) to promote income-generating activities that motivate local populations and improve their living conditions; e) to ensure the involvement of beneficiary groups in the identification and implementation of actions undertaken, whether at the level of project design and/or implementation.
