Promotion of old-age care primarily in the institutions Thüringenhaus and St. Katharinen retirement homes of the civic community of the city of Solothurn, as well as the Spitex Region Solothurn or their successor organizations. Only secondary consideration is given to retirement homes of the municipal community of the city of Solothurn. Funds can be made available for the following needs of needy persons, to the extent that they are not otherwise covered (e.g. health insurance, supplementary benefits to the AHV): assumption of entrance fees to the aforementioned retirement homes, purchase of suitable furniture and clothing, walking aids and age-appropriate training equipment, etc., special grants to complex care cases, in particular assumption of patient participation costs, opening of an account for small, gratuitous services at the beneficiary institutions, loyalty bonuses including possible social contributions to care personnel for more than ten years of service with good performance and purchase of aids for cost-effective passenger transport, financing of excursions and lectures. Anything that supports the needy in their daily lives can be financed. The present statutes are to be interpreted broadly in this regard.
