The association is a non-profit, politically independent, and financially self-sufficient organization under the provisions of Articles 60 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code. Its purpose is to protect and promote the rights, interests, and knowledge of investors worldwide, particularly through:
- Promoting good governance, transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior within the association and among its members;
- Supporting lawful cross-border, digital, and traditional investment activities in a neutral, legally compliant, and advisory capacity, without providing regulated financial, investment, or legal services;
- Providing educational, research, and advisory platforms for investors, decision-makers, and advisors;
- Offering neutral mechanisms for dispute avoidance, dialogue, mediation, and facilitating arbitration proceedings;
- Promoting compliance, anti-corruption, ESG standards, and sustainable investment practices in accordance with applicable Swiss and international law.
The association's objectives include:
- Protecting investors' rights through representation, awareness, and promotion of lawful dispute resolution mechanisms;
- Providing expertise and frameworks for traditional and new asset classes, including stocks, bonds, real estate, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, intellectual property rights, and smart contracts;
- Conducting research, education, and training for investors, decision-makers, and advisors;
- Developing and promoting robust governance, compliance, and anti-corruption systems, frameworks, and platforms in accordance with Swiss and international law;
- Fostering international cooperation, partnerships, and knowledge exchange;
- Establishing a neutral global platform for dispute avoidance, mediation, and arbitration;
- Promoting innovation, transparency, integrity, and ethically responsible behavior in the financial and investment sectors.
The association's strategic guidelines encompass:
