The purpose of the association is to bring together, develop and promote all matters and interests related to the activities, training, rights and obligations of show jumpers in connection with international FEI show jumping competitions, as well as to promote good riding skills. The association's objectives are in particular: to contribute to the independent position of show jumpers and to the impartial exercise of their duties; to cooperate with international equestrian associations and other organizations with regard to the activities of show jumpers at international show jumping events under the patronage of the FEI; to support the further training of its members and to organize conferences and seminars for them; to defend and represent the interests of its members; to provide opinions and comments in connection with the activities of show jumping officials and the future development of FEI show jumping rules; to act as an expert body in its field vis-à-vis the FEI and other international equestrian organizations, in particular on technical aspects of international show jumping competitions; to maintain close contacts with the FEI and other (interest) organizations in equestrian sports, such as the International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC), the International Grooms Association (IGA) and the Equestrian Organisers (EO), as well as regional and/or continental associations; to promote and preserve good riding skills and the welfare of the horse in general, in accordance with the FEI Code of Conduct and the associated guidelines.
