The foundation primarily aims to promote the common good in the St. Gallen region by supporting non-profit projects, individuals, and organizations. The foundation intends to use its resources particularly for charitable or socio-humanitarian endeavors in the areas of youth promotion and education. It can also support projects that promise economically or socially positive prospects for the St. Gallen region. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral. It only allocates its resources subsidiarily to state-run institutions. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
