The purpose of the foundation is to provide for the company's senior employees and their dependents against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death, as well as to support the beneficiaries or their dependents in cases of need such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The foundation may also be joined by the staff of companies economically closely related to the company, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired, by a written accession agreement to be notified to the supervisory authority by decision of the foundation board. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, in which case it must be the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
