The purpose of the foundation is to provide for the family of Dr. Hans-Uwe Gebhardt, in particular the founder himself, his current or former life partner and their children, the children and their descendants of the founder, in cases of special need and for their education, as well as to ensure their health and well-being, through the Rainbow Foundation. The foundation provides contributions to individual persons (beneficiaries) if it deems it appropriate and economically justified. To manage and increase the foundation's assets, the foundation can participate in companies and associations, acquire, sell, mortgage, and exercise entrepreneurial tasks to the extent that the content of the family foundation is preserved. The foundation can also acquire real estate in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation can also support charitable purposes without changing its character as a family foundation, to the extent permitted by law.
