The foundation aims to promote science worldwide in the context of sports and public health. In particular, projects are supported that focus on evidence-based knowledge gain in the prevention and therapy of chronic overloads and injuries to the human body. The foundation primarily provides contributions that aim at i) improving diagnostic and therapeutic methods, ii) a better understanding of the underlying pathophysiology and mechanisms, and iii) short- and long-term consequences of these pathologies. The foundation can also provide financial contributions to other organizations that pursue similar goals. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purpose.
