Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)

The objectives of the RSPO include promoting the growth and use of sustainable palm oil through collaboration within the value chain and through open dialogue with its stakeholders, as well as providing the following services: Research and development of definitions and criteria for the sustainable production and use of palm oil; Implementation of practical projects to facilitate the adoption of the most sustainable practices; Development of solutions to practical problems related to the introduction and verification of the most sustainable practices for the establishment and maintenance of plantations, as well as for procurement, trade and logistics; Securing financial resources from private and public donors to fund projects under the auspices of the RSPO; Informing stakeholders and the wider public about the work of the RSPO.
