SANES, the Swiss Working Group for Emergency and Deployment Planning in Hospitals, aims to promote a unified doctrine for managing special or extraordinary situations in hospitals. The association aims to achieve this through the following activities: building a national network; organizing and conducting symposia/conferences, either in person or online; exchanging experiences from exercises carried out (e.g., mass casualty incidents [MANV], evacuations) and training; exchanging tools, aids, and best practices; forming experience and working groups to develop best practices, recommendations, training, exercises, etc.; issuing recommendations on behalf of the association regarding: emergency and deployment planning; behavior in the event of an incident; sub-areas for risk diversification in business continuity management (BCM). SANES, the Swiss Working Group for Emergency and Deployment Planning in Hospitals, maintains cooperation with Swiss and cantonal authorities such as the Federal Office for Civil Protection/the National Association for Disaster Medicine (KATAMED, KSD), Health Departments, Crisis Committees, and the Secretariat of the Swiss Security Network (SVS). SANES also maintains exchange with international organizations such as the "Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft Krankenhaus Einsatzplanung" (DAKEP) and others. SANES, the Swiss Working Group for Emergency and Deployment Planning in Hospitals, does not pursue any profit-making activities. All funds of the association, including the association's assets, income, and any surplus earnings, are used exclusively to achieve the purposes mentioned in sections 2.1-2.3.
