The cooperative aims to promote, through mutual self-help, the sheep breeds listed in the herd book of the Swiss Sheep Breeding Association, particularly the brown-headed meat sheep. This is to be achieved through: registering the animals in the herd book; participating in performance tests; strict selection of breeding animals; purchasing and keeping good rams; improving feeding and husbandry in accordance with animal welfare regulations; organizing pasture management; promoting sales; and holding shows.
