The foundation aims to promote the health care location of Upper Engadine and improve the living conditions of the elderly population in Upper Engadine. To achieve its purpose, the foundation manages the following, purpose-bound funds: The Personnel Welfare Assistance Fund of the Upper Engadine Hospital provides extraordinary assistance to employees of the hospital or their dependents. This is not a personnel welfare institution within the meaning of Art. 89a of the Swiss Civil Code; hospital employees do not make contributions to the foundation; they have no legal claim to benefits from the foundation and cannot sue for benefits. The Patient Welfare and Infrastructure Fund of the Upper Engadine Hospital serves the care of patients, in particular the support of needy patients, the acquisition of medical-technical equipment, and the acquisition of facilities and care. The Donation Fund of the Promulins Old People's and Nursing Home can only be used to improve the living situation of the residents. The Oncology Fund of the Upper Engadine Hospital is exclusively dedicated to the development and expansion of oncology. The Donation Fund Spitex supports clients of Spitex and their caregivers in proven need, in the form of grants for the purchase of goods, relief, support measures, and measures not provided by health insurance or social assistance. Furthermore, this fund can be used for the personal development and promotion of Spitex staff, which sustainably improves the well-being of patients. To achieve the foundation's purpose, purpose-bound donations can be accepted and additional purpose-bound funds can be established. These purpose-bound funds should have a charitable and non-profit character and primarily serve the people of Upper Engadine or the positive development of health in general. To fulfill the fund's purposes in the sense of the foundation's purpose, the interest, fund capital, and the entire foundation's assets can be used. From these funds, no regular benefits or benefits to which the founders, the public sector, or third parties are legally obligated may be provided.
