Promotion of teaching and research in the field of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine. The foundation achieves its purpose in particular by supporting both clinically and scientifically oriented projects in the field of teaching and research; by supporting measures to strengthen the subject of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine at the medical faculty of the University of Basel and in the national and international environment; by supporting qualified individuals of both sexes in the sense of promoting young talent or professional development for the benefit of the field of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine; by supporting measures for the integrative development of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine with its subspecialties and fields of expertise, in particular anaesthesiology, emergency and pain medicine; by coordinating and supporting projects with other foundations or organisations that pursue similar goals.
