Procurement and maintenance of premises for the public exhibition of visual arts, in particular portraits and works from the Basel region; Support for measures aimed at reviving interest in visual arts, especially portrait art, in the canton of Basel-Landschaft (through periodic exhibitions, artist readings, video shows, etc.); Support for measures to expand the collection (in the sense of a museum for portraits and regional art), whether through further private donations, purchases or in connection with the Basel-Landschaft art credit; Awarding of the BEWE Prize to promote visual arts.
