The foundation promotes the preservation and maintenance of worthy buildings and facilities of all ages in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. Exceptionally, it can also operate outside the canton throughout Switzerland. It promotes the understanding of wider population circles for the preservation of the built heritage. It aligns its activities as far as possible with principles based on criteria of monument preservation. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can in particular: take over worthy buildings that are transferred to the foundation to secure a future monument preservation-compliant use; acquire, restore and possibly sell endangered buildings and facilities to bring them into a monument preservation-compliant use; financially or otherwise support third parties in measures for the preservation of special buildings; cooperate with and/or support other organizations and authorities with similar goals; award prizes for special achievements in connection with the preservation and maintenance of historic building fabric, also in connection with good building culture; recover historic building materials and other historically valuable assets for monument-compliant reuse and have them restored in the sense of monument preservation; ensure that monument protection and good building culture are also implemented at the political level; carry out public relations work through publications, events, etc.; do everything to give more consideration to the concerns of monument protection and good building culture.
