The purpose of the foundation is to provide care for the permanent employees of Rahn & Bodmer Co. and their dependents, as well as to protect them against the economic consequences of old age, disability, and death, to the extent that Rahn & Bodmer Co. is not already legally obligated to provide benefits. For example, in the event of early retirement, an AHV supplementary pension can be paid out until the entitlement to AHV benefits arises. The foundation's assets can also be used to fund the Rahn & Bodmer Foundation or other 2nd pillar foundations that also serve the welfare of Rahn & Bodmer Co. employees. The foundation thus finances the short-term disability pension paid out in accordance with the Rahn & Bodmer Foundation's regulations. Furthermore, the foundation aims to support employees and their dependents in times of need, such as in cases of illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. No benefits may be paid out of the foundation's assets for which the company is legally obligated or which it typically pays as compensation for services rendered (such as cost-of-living allowances, family allowances, bonuses, length-of-service gifts, etc.).
