The foundation exclusively fulfills public-benefit and social tasks in the field of housing. This includes, in particular, the creation and management of affordable housing for socially and/or economically disadvantaged families or individuals. In existing tenancies, exceptions to paragraph 1 may be granted in the event of a change in circumstances. Its purpose is, in particular, to manage or have managed the residential properties dedicated to it by the founder, to secure them in their stock for the long term, and thus to maintain their purpose. The foundation may build or acquire residential buildings in the city of St. Gallen. Within the framework of the foundation's purpose, it may also acquire building land for ownership or in building rights. For tenants who require or need social support, the foundation is responsible for establishing a connection with a corresponding counseling center. It may also cooperate with other institutions that pursue similar goals and participate in them. The scope of activity of such or similar institutions is not limited to the city of St. Gallen. The foundation does not pursue any profit-making or self-help purposes.
