The foundation aims to promote clinical research, particularly in the fields of gastroenterology, general internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, and pediatrics. It also aims to promote and support the training of interested researchers in new imaging and post-processing methods, to promote public awareness of degenerative or inflammatory CNS diseases, and to support and organize educational and informational events for doctors and patients, primarily in the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. Within the scope of its purpose, the foundation may participate in, promote, establish, or acquire other organizations or enterprises, or transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations and enterprises.
