The foundation ensures the continuation and independence of the Südostschweiz newspaper, Graubünden edition. To this end, the foundation holds a stake in SOGV AG. The foundation can acquire, manage and sell properties. Within its means, it is authorized to grant low-interest loans or non-repayable contributions to SOGV AG and companies of Somedia AG. Furthermore, it aims to provide voluntary contributions to deserving employees and their dependents in cases of illness, need or other emergencies. The foundation can engage in all activities that serve the purpose of the foundation.
