The purpose of the association is to reduce nosocomial infections in Switzerland. The association pursues its non-profit purpose through the expertise and authoritative statements of its active members, the dissemination of relevant information, and the organization of surveillance and intervention programs. The association does not pursue commercial goals and does not strive for profit. The association may operate a trade conducted in a commercial manner or participate in one to pursue its non-economic purpose.
