to promote and maintain a high level of professional awareness among stamp dealers worldwide, to promote the exchange of information and literature useful to the philatelic trade between member organizations; to strive by all means to abolish obstacles in the international trade of stamps; to promote the exchange of information regarding the marketing of stolen, forged, altered or repaired stamps; to promote and assist in promoting the formation of stamp collections worldwide.
