Supplementation of social security benefits for employees of the founding company and companies economically linked to the Novartis Group (hereinafter collectively referred to as the Novartis Group). The foundation's assets and returns are intended to be used for contributions to offset reductions in benefits resulting from foreign assignments in the area of state and occupational pension provision for old age, illness, accident, disability and death for active and former employees of the Novartis Group, as well as their dependents and survivors.
