The objectives and purpose of UNIO are: to protect and promote the interests of its members in particular and of cycling in general; to be recognized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as the sole body representing the interests of professional women's cycling teams; to represent the interests of women's cycling teams as employers, also in the process of social dialogue, and to act as a social partner if necessary; to contribute to the healthy development of women's cycling competitions organized by the UCI or other organizers by participating in the relevant decision-making processes; to ensure cooperation between its members, the UCI, and other sports organizations where appropriate; to contribute to the international women's cycling competition calendar; to make a contribution to good governance in cycling worldwide, in particular through participation in the relevant bodies established within the UCI and, if necessary, other sports federations; to promote the exchange of information and expertise between its members, the UCI, and other sports organizations; to support the maintenance of the integrity and regularity of cycling competitions; to achieve the above objectives, to maintain contacts, cooperation, and negotiations with all organizations related to cycling or with all relevant public and private institutions, in particular with the relevant social partners, as well as with non-members of the cycling world; to carry out all other tasks that serve to promote the objectives of the association or that are deemed necessary or beneficial for achieving these objectives or one of these objectives.
