The contracting parties to the Collective Labour Agreement (GAV) of the mechanical, electrical and metal industries establish the association for the purpose of managing the training contributions in accordance with the applicable GAV. The association aims to manage the training contributions and organize the cooperation of the contracting parties to the GAV with regard to the training contributions to be made by employees and employers in accordance with the GAV. To this end, the association finances, in particular: contributions to joint training institutions (such as the sfb Education Center) and events of the contracting parties; contributions to the examination authorities of the contracting parties; contributions to joint training measures of the contracting parties; contributions to joint information and training brochures; contributions for the establishment and possible operation of the retraining model MEM-Passerelle 4.0 and all related organizations, undertakings, instruments and structures; contributions for the establishment of instruments and structures to support the training and maintenance of the employability of the employees of the member companies of the employer contracting party; contributions for the testing of such instruments and structures (pilot projects); and training contributions to the contracting parties in accordance with the association's statutes based on the proof of the aforementioned purposes. The association can finance further activities serving the purpose and participate in the fulfillment and financing of further training-related tasks for the benefit of the employees subject to the GAV. In addition, the association finances the monitoring and control of the proper use of the funds used.
