The association aims to: - represent the ideal and economic interests of heating controllers in the cantons of Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt and in the adjacent areas; - promote the acceptance and reputation of heating controllers vis-à-vis the public, economic organizations and state institutions; - carry out tasks assigned to the association by laws, regulations and ordinances; - promote the association of all heating controllers in the Basel region with a federal professional diploma; - support efforts aimed at organizational improvements and the professional and general further education of members; - maintain contacts with cantonal and federal offices dealing with heating control, as well as with members of related professional associations; - ensure the technical flow of information among association members; - develop recommendations for a uniform fee schedule for municipalities and cantons; - make suggestions for the design of cantonal forms for heating controllers; - promote neutral advice for heating system owners; - foster collegiality and a sense of community to promote loyal behavior among members; - maintain contacts with other professional associations; - engage in public relations; - take on tasks related to the enforcement and control of legal provisions in the areas of air pollution control (heating control), energy and environmental protection, as well as training of specialists in these areas. The association may conclude contracts with federal, cantonal and municipal authorities, as well as private individuals, or participate in or establish associations or organizations (e.g. offices, etc.) for this purpose.
