The cooperative supplies the population, trade, industry, and service companies with drinking and utility water. It ensures a quality that is permanently in accordance with food legislation. The cooperative takes over the public water supply, including hydrant fire protection for the entire settlement area of the municipality of Rüegsau and the district of Lützelflühschachen in the municipality of Lützelflüh, on behalf of the local citizenry. To this end, it concludes an agreement with the municipalities. Expansion to other municipalities is possible. It designs and maintains its pipelines and the hydrants with the associated facilities for the procurement, possible treatment, pumping, and storage of water.
