1) The purpose of the association, a non-profit organization that operates without profit motive, is to a. utilize Gender Lens Investing (GLI) as a catalyst for improving the outcomes of Impact Investing internationally by focusing efforts on building local capacity and capabilities in innovation ecosystems. b. create a multi-stakeholder network of impact investors and ecosystem developers that make gender-specific investments to promote the development of fair and sustainable innovation ecosystems. c. collaborate with innovation centers to co-create women-focused entrepreneurship programs and build a pipeline of investment-ready, women-led businesses. d. invite impact investors to workshops where they can connect with innovation centers and gain insight into the opportunities to consider investments from a local gender perspective. e. invest in companies owned or led by women. f. facilitate investments in companies that promote equal opportunities in the workplace (in staffing, management, boards, and supply chains). 2) The association may carry out all activities and take all measures necessary and appropriate to achieve the above-mentioned objectives.
