The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and shared responsibility. It promotes community living in the sense of shared responsibility and mutual solidarity. The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) regulations on housing cooperatives for federal personnel are applicable. The cooperative seeks to achieve this purpose through: a) Acquisition of building land and building rights. b) Construction and acquisition of multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs. c) Construction of replacement buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner. d) Rental of additional smaller housing units to comply with occupancy regulations. e) Utilization of funding instruments under the Federal Housing Promotion Act or corresponding cantonal and communal laws. f) Management and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis. g) Promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements. h) Ideological and material support for efforts aimed at providing affordable, healthy, and good housing. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by the pursuit of profit. The cooperative may participate in companies and organizations with similar or identical goals. The cooperative limits its activities to the municipality of Küsnacht ZH.
