Walter-Tresch-Stiftung zur sportlichen Förderung der Gemeinde Silenen supports sporting activities and youth athletes by providing financial grants and other forms of assistance. The foundation backs individual athletes and funds projects such as renovation and expansion of the Selderboden sports and leisure facility, renovation of the Steinmatt sports field, and annually provides a contribution to the youth of the Urner Skiverband.

Walter und Gertrud Siegenthaler Stiftung

Walter und Gertrud Siegenthaler Stiftung awards three foundation prizes each year to support early-career researchers in medicine. It provides research fellowships, a science award and return grants; the research fellowship is funded at CHF 62,500 per year and the science award at CHF 20,000.
