To morally and financially support the mission of the International Ark, which aims to unite all Ark communities worldwide that serve the reception, promotion and social integration of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, to clarify and define the essential elements of the Federation; to promote diversity and solidarity beyond geographical or psychological borders and the values of the Federation in such a way that they are lived in harmony with local cultures, traditions and socio-economic context; to help create, develop and operate new Ark communities worldwide, especially in the most disadvantaged countries where necessary resources can only come from the generosity of private donors; to support all initiatives aimed at promoting the mission of the Ark worldwide and to promote to public authorities, as well as religious and moral authorities, the value and place of people with intellectual disabilities, respecting cultural differences and the diversity of local contexts (cf. founding act for full purpose).
